Leading SAFe - How to thrive in digital world with Business Agility

In the digital world it is important to learn about Business Agility to lead a Lean-Agile Enterprise. Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe®) for Lean Enterprises is a knowledge base of proven integrated principles, practices and competencies needed to achieve business agility using Lean, Agile and DevOps.

SAFe 5,  the latest version, focuses on 7 core competencies which are critical to a Lean Enterprise for having a competitive advantage.

With the Leading SAFe course, attendees will learn how to leverage Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe®) to achieve Business Agility. The course starts with an introduction to SAFe framework and exploring the underlying values and principles. Post this, the course delves into establishing Team and Technical Agility, Agile Product Delivery and organising around Value. The course also provides a simulation to experience PI planning event which is key event to create alignment across the enterprise. Participants, further, learn about how to build a culture of DevOps to enable “Release on Demand” and also to leverage Lean Portfolio Management within their enterprise.

The course is designed to introduce SAFe® framework to anyone who would want to leverage it to achieve Business Agility. The typical audience for the course includes CxOs, Senior Executives, Change Agents, Program/Project Managers, BAs, Tech Leads, Agile Coaches, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Solution/System Architects.

Although, anyone can attend the course regardless of the experience, it is highly recommended to have at least 5 years of experience in software development, project management or business analysis. Also, experience with Scrum is beneficial.

Assessment:
  • Name: SAFe 5 Agilist Exam
  • Format: Multiple Choice
  • Delivery: Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed
  • Access: Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe Community Platform upon completion of the Leading SAFe course
  • Duration: Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes) to complete the exam
  • Number of Questions: 45
  • Passing Score: 35 out of 45 (77% passing score)
  • Exam cost: First exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
PDUs and SEUs:

Attendees may be eligible to apply for 15 PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP, and PMI-ACP certifications. Attendees may be eligible to apply for SEUs under Category C, toward earning or renewing their CSP through Scrum Alliance.
